Atılım University - ECTS INFORMATION GUIDE

In order to graduate from the Master’s Program in Political Science and Public Administration (with Thesis), students must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Successfully complete at least seven (7) credit courses, one non-credit seminar course (KAM500), and the thesis study (KAM599).

  • The seminar and thesis are evaluated on a “pass/fail” basis. The thesis must be defended before a jury and successfully passed.

  • The program includes a minimum academic workload of 120 ECTS, with 60 ECTS per academic year.

  • Students must receive at least a CC grade in all credit courses and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00.

  • The coursework and seminar stage must be completed within a maximum of four (4) semesters. Including the thesis stage, the total duration of the program must not exceed six (6) semesters. Students who fail to meet the graduation requirements within these periods are dismissed from the university.

  • Students whose thesis is found unsuccessful are dismissed from the university. Students who receive a revision decision must resubmit their thesis and re-defend it before the same jury within three (3) months. If they fail again in the second defense, they are dismissed from the university.

  • Students whose thesis is rejected, but who have previously fulfilled the requirements of coursework, seminar, and term project, may request a non-thesis master’s diploma.
