ECTS - - Public Administration and Political Science (with Thesis)

To successfully graduate from the Master’s Program in Public Administration and Political Science with Thesis, students must fulfill the following conditions:

  1. Course Load and Academic Requirements
    • Students are required to successfully complete a total of eight (8) courses, consisting of four (4) compulsory and four (4) elective courses.
    • The compulsory courses are as follows:
      • KAM500 Seminar (non-credit)
      • ISL555 Research Methods
      • KAM503 Political Theory
      • KAM501 Public Administration and Management Theories
    • Students must obtain at least a CC letter grade in each credit-base course and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00.
    • Seminar (KAM500) and Thesis (KAM599) are evaluated on a Pass/Fail basis.
  2. Thesis Stage and Evaluation
    • Students must complete a thesis under the supervision of an advisor and successfully defend it before a jury in order to pass the KAM599 Thesis course.
  3. Program Duration
    • Excluding any time spent in a preparatory program, the maximum duration for completing the program is six (6) semesters.
    • The coursework and seminar stages must be completed within the first four (4) semesters. Students who fail to meet these academic requirements within this period will be dismissed from the university.
  4. In Case of Thesis Rejection
    • If the thesis is found unsuccessful and rejected by the jury, the student’s enrollment will be terminated.
    • If the jury issues a revision decision, the student is required to address the deficiencies and defend the revised thesis before the same jury within a maximum of three (3) months.
    • If the thesis is rejected again following the second defense, the student will be dismissed from the university.
    • However, students whose theses are rejected may request to be awarded a non-thesis master’s degreeprovided that they have previously fulfilled all course, project, and other related requirements of the non-thesis master’s program.
