Course Objectives It is aimed that students will be informed about social-emotional and personality development, reach to a level where they can give advice to families, professionals, relevant institutions and organizations related to social-emotional and personality development, notice delays and problem situations related to social-emotional and personality development, and make appropriate guidance.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • He/she will be able to define basic concepts related to social-emotional and personality development; will be able to comprehend and order the social emotional development process
  • He/she will be able to know and compare basic personality development theories and social development theories.
  • He/she will be able to learn about the factors affecting social emotional development and personality development and develop suggestions to turn the effects of these factors into a positive direction.
  • He/she will be aware of delay situations and be sensitive to delays; be able to show appropriate behavior in case of delay; understand the importance of personality development
  • He/she will be able to gain the ability to make correct guidance regarding personality development in childhood.
  • He/she will be able to comprehend the importance of sexual development and education in terms of development
  • He/she will be able to comprehend the importance of moral development by knowing the basic concepts and theories about moral development.
  • He/she will be able to define with a developmental point of view and give suggestions to families, educators, and related professionals
