Course Objectives • to have knowledge about the basic theories of psychology • being aware of personality, abnormal behaviors, factors that influence and direct our perceptions • understand the importance of psychology in the developmental processes of the individual • the use of psychology in interpersonal relations, the ability to look at events and situations from a psychological perspective • Reaching better quality communication by benefiting from the principles of psychology while getting to know himself and his environment.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • He/she comprehends the basic theories of psychology.
  • He/she discusses how different psychological approaches examines similar events.
  • He/she develops an understanding of the physiological and psycho-dynamic processes of behavior, motivation, perception, sensation, learning, consciousness.
  • He/she becomes aware of the factors affecting and directing perception.
  • He/she defines normal and abnormal behavior.
  • He/she develops awareness about the use of psychology in social life.
Course Content The basic theories of psychology, its nature, approaches, memory, sensation, perception, personality, the use of psychology from interpersonal relations and abnormal behaviors.
