Course Objectives To give information about adjustment and behavior problems that are frequently encountered in children and adolescents and examined under developmental psychopathology.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Students who successfully complete the ÇGL 301 course will define its importance, have information about mental disorders that are frequently encountered in childhood and adolescence, and will be able to explain them; they will also be able to list DSM 5 diagnostic criteria.
  • Students will be able to distinguish between normal and problematic behaviors and mental disorders.
  • Students will be able to distinguish and define various behavioral problems; They will learn the symptoms of these problems.
  • They will have the theoretical knowledge to be able to tell the relevant specialist physician units that children with the possibility of mental disorders should be referred.
Course Content Fundamentals of developmental psychopathology, behavioral symptoms of mental health and adjustment problems in children, types and appropriate referral techniques, approach to psychopathology.
