Course Objectives The aim of this course is to increase the level of knowledge about the approach to children and their families who receive inpatient or outpatient services from health institutions, services, and interdisciplinary studies.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Understands the approach to children with health problems and their families.
  • Understands the duties and responsibilities of the child development profession in health institutions and organizations.
  • Explain the effects of communication and approaches between health personnel, children with health problems, and families on development.
  • Comprehends the importance of informative services for family and health personnel in pre-treatment, treatment, and post-treatment processes of children with health problems.
  • Creates informative documents and resources on the healthy life of children with and without health problems.
Course Content Developmental characteristics of children with health problems, the effects of health problems on mental state, child, family, staff interaction, observation of games and playrooms in health institutions, hospital schools and general information about the field.
