| Course Objectives | KAM 417 Contemporary Turkish Intellectual History elective undergraduate course examines Turkish political thought not only as a practice carried out by the intellectual class or political actors, but also as a formation of all cultural and social structures and processes. In this context, Kemalism, Islam and secularism, conservatism, nationalism, human and minority rights and gender debates, which determine the general lines of political thought in Turkey, are examined within the scope of the course. |
