ECTS - - Political Science and Public Administration

The Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Political Science and Public Administration is a four-year (eight-semester) full-time programme. The academic workload is at least 240 ECTS credits, with 60 ECTS per academic year. Students follow a curriculum that includes both compulsory and elective courses.

As part of the programme requirements, students must complete: 39 compulsory courses9 area electives2 general electives.

The programme aims to provide students with a strong disciplinary foundation, interdisciplinary perspectives, and practical knowledge. It also includes courses from related fields such as law, economics, and sociology, enabling students to develop a broad academic and professional capacity. Students are encouraged to enhance their qualifications through exchange programmes (Erasmus, Farabi)voluntary internshipsUndergraduate Research Projects (LAP)ATAK, and TÜBİTAK 2209-A student research schemes.

To graduate, students must:

  • Pass all compulsory and elective courses with at least a DD letter grade,

  • Receive an S (Successful) grade for non-credit courses,

  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00.

The maximum duration of the programme is 14 semesters. Students who fail to meet graduation requirements within this period are dismissed from the university.
