- Courses
In the Bachelor’s Programme in Political Science and Public Administration, students’ academic performance is evaluated based on mid-term assessments (exams, assignments, presentations, projects, quizzes, etc.) and final examinations. Each course is assessed in accordance with the criteria set by the instructor.
The final grade for each course is determined by a combination of mid-term performance and the final exam. Letter grades are used to express performance, ranging from AA to FF, and are associated with grade points:
-
AA, BA, BB, CB, CC: Passed
-
DC, DD: Conditionally passed
-
FD, FF: Failed
-
S: Satisfactory (for non-credit courses)
-
U: Unsatisfactory (for non-credit courses)
-
NA (Not Attended): Assigned to students who fail to meet the minimum 70% attendance requirement. Even if a student takes the final exam, the NA grade is equivalent to an FF and indicates course failure due to insufficient attendance.
To be considered successful in a course, a student must earn at least a DD grade. To graduate from the program, students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00.
Grading policies, types of exams, assessment procedures and attendance policies are governed by the Atılım University Undergraduate and Associate Degree Education and Examination Regulations.
