Course Objectives This course aims to develop a project in which creative textile surfaces are designed and used in the collection in line with the concrete theme given by considering the integrity of the collection, and to make technical analysis of the project and realize its production.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Makes designs considering the integrity of the collection.
  • Researches the textile surface during the design process.
  • Designs textile surfaces.
  • Develops a concrete theme-oriented collection.
  • Makes artistic and technical drawings of the collection she has developed.
  • Makes technical analysis of a view of the designed collection.
  • It moves a view of the designed collection to three dimensions.
  • Creates technical and creative visual documents for collection presentation.
Course Content Basic elements and principles in preparation of collections: detailed study in designing process, drawings, fitting the design, clothing applications by means of artistic and technical drawings.

1 Introducing the course and the project – Making a general presentation about the term collection, research parameters for the collection, giving the project topic, Making research projects and presentations by students. At the end of each lesson, information will be given about the next topic and students will be enabled to make the necessary preparations.

3 Textile surface fabric manipulation and material research, sketch studies and preparation of Moodboard / Inspiration Board visuals for designs "
4 Model development studies, textile surface testing studies "
5 Selection of designs, textile surface trial studies "
6 Giving critiques on technical analysis of designs, giving critiques on textile surfaces. "
7 Final review of Mood-Board, sheets and surfaces (Criticism before jury) ''
