Course Objectives This lesson; To be able to take the necessary measurements on the body for the basic body pattern; It aims to establish fabric, model, clothing type and pattern relationships, to make dart slides, and to draw basic body, sleeve and collar patterns and templates.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Draws a trouser pattern with model application.
  • It takes the necessary measurements on the body for the basic body pattern.
  • Draws the basic body pattern.
  • Establishes fabric, model, clothing type and pattern relationships.
  • Makes dart shifts on the basic body pattern.
  • Draws the basic arm pattern.
  • Draws the basic body and arm pattern template.
  • Draws basic collar patterns.
Course Content Basic drawing rules in preparation of cloth patterns, applications of forming body and arm patterns for different body sizes.

1 General information about the measurements required for basic body pattern drawing, taking measurements on the female body for basic body pattern drawing. At the end of each lesson, information will be given about the next topic and students will be enabled to make the necessary preparations.
