Course Objectives The aim of the KAM 142 Studio of Public Reason II is to help students who have started to study in the disciplines of political science and public administration acquire a critical attitude. In this context, short texts of authors such as Mill, de Tocqueville, Maalouf, Orwell, Platon, La Boétie will be examined and various discussions will be made on these texts.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Understands the basic concepts of the discipline of political science.
  • Understands the basic theoretical approaches of the discipline of political science.
  • Acquires a general knowledge of the basic methodological approaches of the discipline of political science
  • Acquires a general knowledge of other fields of study (sociology, psychology, etc.) related to the discipline of political science.
  • Acquires the ability to act with tolerance and respect in the face of different value judgments and thought systems.
