Course Objectives This course introduces students to the basic concepts and theories of the discipline of political science, its methodological approaches, and its relations with other disciplines. In this context, politics, political culture, party systems, electoral systems, pressure groups, government and legislative assemblies etc. examines concepts and fields of study.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Explain the basic concepts, theoretical and methodological approaches of the discipline of political science.
  • Analyze real life events in an analytical framework using the basic concepts and approaches of political science.
  • Develops the ability to express the acquired knowledge and skills with a critical approach orally and in writing.
Course Content Political authority/power; political regimes; ideologies; nation and nationalism; religion and politics; state and economy.
