Course Objectives | The course will cover the definition of globalization, its ideological and philosophical background, and different approaches to this phenomenon. The transformation of the nation-state understanding and its connection with globalization will be emphasized. At the same time, different dimensions of globalization will be examined and the nation-state model will be analyzed in the globalization process. As an example of globalization, the experience of the European Union and its relationship with democratization will be examined. Turkey's democratization process and EU membership process will be discussed together and the effects of EU conditionality on democratization will be discussed. Turkey's public order and its interaction with policy-making processes, including the reflections of globalization on public administration approaches, will be examined. |
