Course Objectives This course covers nutritional therapy in adult diseases. The aim is to learn theoretical knowledge and practical applications regarding medical nutritional therapy for adult diseases and to gain experience.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Understands the pathophysiological processes, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases and establishes their relationship with nutrition.
  • Understands the principles of medical nutrition therapy for adult diseases.
  • Plans medical nutrition therapy solutions specific to adult diseases.
  • Writes menus and nutrition recommendations for adult diseases.
Course Content Obesity and medical nutrition therapy, anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, diabetes mellitus, reactive hypoglycemia, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, gastrointestinal system diseases, movement system impairments, dietary fiber and health effects.
