Course Objectives The objective of the course is to explain to the students the perfective and imperfective forms of the verbs and their usage, to explain the usage of the Dative case and its endings and prepositions, to explain the usage of the verbs in the situations, when the action takes place simultaneously or consequently, to translate texts, using these grammar materials.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • learn the information about the perfective and imperfective verbs in Russian
  • Students learn the Dative case of the nouns and its usage
  • learn the endings and prepositions of the Dative case
  • learn to use the verbs, when the action takes place simultaneously or consequently
  • Students learn to translate texts from Russian to Turkish and vice verse
Course Content Discourse, register, context, skopos and commissioning in various text types; step by step introduction to the practice of translation in informative and operative texts.
